Executive Director of Global InfoAnalytics, Mussa Dankwah, has revealed that former Assin Central MP Kennedy Agyapong lost momentum in the closing days of his campaign ahead of the NPP presidential primaries. The decline followed his attacks on former Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, which reportedly alienated many party delegates.
Speaking on Asempa FM’s Ekosii Sen, Mr. Dankwah said his firm’s daily tracking polls, sampling 500 people Monday to Friday, showed a sharp drop in Agyapong’s numbers immediately after videos of the attacks went viral.
“The controversial video did not energize his base as expected. Instead, it turned away delegates uncomfortable with his comments,” he noted.
Mr. Dankwah added, “Anyone who thinks the video gingered the base doesn’t know the NPP delegates.”
