Chelsea’s season has taken a dramatic turn for the worse. Not long ago, it seemed impossible to imagine them slipping into the bottom half of the table—especially when they parted ways with Enzo Maresca back in January. At the time, they were sitting in fifth place, though concerns were already growing as they trailed league leaders Arsenal by 15 points.
Fast forward to now, and the gap has widened significantly. Chelsea are 28 points behind the leaders and sit 10 points off the Champions League places. Their form has completely collapsed, with no Premier League goals in the last two months and five consecutive league defeats.
If they fail to secure a win today, any realistic hope of qualifying for the Champions League will be gone.
